Great God, We thank Thee. We collectively lift up our voices because this is the day that the Lord hath made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. As the world plunges deeper into darkness, you are the light of the world. As we struggle in our own weakness, battling the world, flesh and the devil; you are strong. On Calvary you crushed the serpents’ head, the battle was never uncertain. It wasn’t even close.
You are faithful and we thank you; you are merciful and we thank you. When we fail, or when discouraged, or weary with life’s trials, you let us sense your presence at our greatest time of need. You only ask that we trust in you with all of our heart and lean not to our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledge you, and you shall direct our path. As battle-weary warriors, we drop our sword and bow before your nail-scared feet and worship.

Bring back again the sweet melody of the song in the night. Renew in us a vision of power, victory, and love found at the cross. Jesus, we bless your name. You received the final blow for us and triumphed over the enemy of our souls. One day soon, you will come again and establish your kingdom. We thank you, and wait in anticipation. As we wait, give us patience, increase our faith, forgive our sin, heal our sick, comfort our bereaved, strengthen the discouraged and save lost souls. Lift us up on eagles wings so that the things of earth would grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.

We thank you for our great nation and ask that you give wisdom to our President, Congress, Senate, and Supreme Court. We pray for our governor, state reps, law enforcement, school boards, and businesses in the State of Ohio. We pray for mayor Franklin, the city council, safety forces, and schools. We ask your blessing upon the Nicholson Center as they struggle to stay alive. We pray for the Warren Family Mission, the Basement ministry, and Bella. We thank you for Margaret’s successful surgery and Alexis’ safe delivery of a baby boy.

Now we ask that you open our eyes this morning that we may behold wondrous things out of Thy Word.

We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus,

Amen
