He is more than just a cuss word. He is not politically correct, stating that His name is above every other name (Philippians 2:9). He is more than one blog post can adequately exalt. In fact, only eternity can contain the praise that is due Him. It’s hard to believe that the name of Jesus was used in a respectful way in pop songs of the 70’s. The “Jesus Movement” was taken seriously by other Baby Boomers, and even produced the Rock Opera, “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Now it has been put on the “do not say” list. Since someone may be offended, we are being asked to use the more acceptable name of “God”. I will be the first to admit that my life does not always reflect the high calling of wearing the name “Christian”. I am really trying, but often fall short of being a good example. Blame me, not Jesus. He has done nothing but bring hope to a lost world, love to the lonely, and offer eternal life to those who believe.

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:10,11
